Hello and welcome to Gatesville Primary School! We are so excited to have your little one here to learn and create fun memories as their school career begins! We celebrate successes both great and small and hope to instill a love of learning within each and every child. If you have any questions regarding the primary, please contact us at 254-865-7264.
This is an important reminder regarding what you can do to receive official news and emergency notifications from principals and other administrators. Gatesville ISD strives to keep parents and guardians informed. We urge you to keep your contact information updated by giving your current information to the campus office. If you have an address, email or phone number change, please let us know. Also, be sure and read or listen to all messages sent from the school.
GISD is always looking for ways to foster an even safer and more caring school community. We have added School Messenger Quick Tip to our website so students and parents can anonymously report safety and security concerns to a school administrator. On the District website, look under the “Parent” tab and select Anti-bullying information. The anonymous tip reporting is accessible on your campus website, too, under the “Student” tab. GISD has also provided some online bullying resources to help inform parents and students.
JOIN the Gatesville Primary PTO (Parent Teacher Organization), a group of parents and teachers that work together for the benefit of a school and the children being educated here. As a member, you also become part of the GISD Education Foundation, which supports innovative classroom teaching, inspires learning in new directions, and maximizes academic opportunities for Gatesville ISD students. For information, call the school at 865-7264.
As parents and community members you are critical partners in the education of our students. It may be a cliché, but it truly does take a village to educate a child. We appreciate and value the trust that parents have placed in our staff and we accept the responsibility of ensuring that all students graduate college and world ready. We are committed to developing in each student the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to ensure many paths to a successful future. Our number one priority will always be the success of every student.
